Compare Poor Credit Credit Card Lenders

There is little shared in the relationship between the payday loan lenders and the poor credit credit card lenders featured today, other than each being more or less targeted at those who find it difficult to be accepted elsewhere. For those that do have a good credit score, there is an endless pool of credit card providers on the market and the interest starts very low in the case of for example the Sainsbury’s Low Rate credit card with its 6.9% APR figure. The most popular UK credit cards usually stand between 15% and 19% APR though. These rates are higher, as they come with added perks such as 0% balances transfers and 0% purchases over an introductory period (watch out for the balance transfer fees though). When it comes to credit cards for poor credit clients, there are only three options available at this time with the three credit card lenders being Aqua, Capital One and finally Vanquis. These credit cards for poor credit have interest rates in the range of 34-40% APR.

Less Well Known Poor Credit Credit Card Lenders…
There are just the three. Not sure what happened with the Monument credit card.

If the interest rates stand as priority one for you then the Capital One Classic credit card is the cheapest and best solution. Aqua are less prominent than Capital One and Vanquis and the reviews aren’t too great from what I have seen. Aqua provide a credit limit up to £1600 maximum, whilst the Capital One Classic card is less at £1500. Vanquis come out on top here, starting off up to £1000, but they stretch to a £3000 credit limit for those that manage their account well. It is great to see that each and every lender comes with account management online. The personal recommendation here is handed to Vanquis. There is a number of reasons for this decision, above all else they are less strict and tend to give everyone a chance. That £3000 credit limit is very high and their custom designed credit cards really do look the part. Remember that any of these cards are designed to rebuild poor credit, so it is up to you to be reliable with your payments. If a card like this interests you then do pay off the balances when you can to skip the hefty interest charges that will arise.
