THL Direct (Total Home Loans Direct Ltd) provides relatively small payday loans between £100 and £250. There are a few barriers in place with THL payday loans, such as applicants having to be over 21 years of age and be earning £900 per month after tax in a permanent working position. The interest charge on a £100 loan is £37.50, but the overall charge ramps up when you add that £25 same day transfer fee. With that £25 speedy payment we are looking at £162.50 to be paid back on a £100 loan. There are other problems other than the charges, such as the site not being SSL secured and there isn’t any detailed information provided across the site in relation to their loan product. The only thing that I did see was that rollovers are available with THL.

This is certainly a strict payday loan lender noting the minimum age and wage restrictions, but this is a clear sign that they are looking to develop relationships with trusting customers only. If you do pass these requirements then the concern would be with the overall charges that would need to be made. Just to add that this company also runs Fancy a Payday. That site is a bit of a mess, on one page stating they’re trading as Response Funding Ltd and on another page we have listed Total Homeloans Direct Ltd with a different address/Consumer Credit License Number etc. I don’t like to be negative about any payday loan lenders here, but there are certainly issues that need to be ironed out over at THL and their Fancy a Payday site. I will be spending some time researching past reviews from customers and will be reporting back soon.
